Partial grill blackout CLK500
I was thinking of blacking out the top and bottom horizontal chrome bars in the grill. Do they sell black "snap on" pieces that would just cover them, or would I actually have to paint them? I'd prefer a "reversible" solution just in case I don't like the effect.

When I was a teenager in the 60's we blacked out grills all the time. It was the "in thing". We just used electrical tape. It looked like a vinyl cover, stayed good for a long time and was easy to remove.It would be an easy cheap way to see how it would look.

thanks for the feedback. i guess i was going for more of the old SL style grill, but doesn't look like I could accomplish that simply by blacking out or painting what's there.

go to google and search for those vinyl's. They are completely reversible and not too hard tio apply.
