gear selectors/paddle shifters?
how does this work? i have an 06 clk500 with the wood wheel, but want some sort of control over the gear from the wheel. i sat in a car that had buttons behind the wheel, but my car doesnt have this...is it because of the wood wheel? is it possilbe to add paddle shifters to this car?? TIA

Yes One can a paddle shift steering wheel to the 209. Bought a NEW Steeringwheel WITH Paddle shift ..Also the contact ring must be replaced and version code the car present via the SDS

sorry guys just want to make this clear there are two types of mercs automatic and steptronic, can i just confirm that we are talking about automatic's as i would assume steptronic comes with paddle shift.

All CLK 550's are steptronic. The difference is if you order a wood wheel, you lose the paddle shifter, w/ a leather wheel you get them.
