Next Gen CLK thread
I could not find a thread on the new 2009/2010 CLK so I am starting one,
Here are the specs I have read online
1. Panao Roof (Check the pictures on Page10 in the link below)
2. Distronic II
3. New E class style Command/Interior
4. Night vision
5. Hybrid ?
6. Presafe (if it has the distronic)
7. Cross wind compensation ? (I heard this is an Eclass option)
Release:
Rumors 2008 Geneva , probably not.
http://www.germancarzone.com/clk-cla...s-info-10.html
E class interior, hopefully the gear change s not on the steering wheel, like the EClass.
http://www.germancarzone.com/e-class...etails-54.html
Interior might be similar to an E Class, looking at the spyshots on page 10.

I hope they switch to a hard top for the convertible, similar to the SL, SLK and 3-Series. If not, I'll probably get a 335i convertible to replace my W203.

Now that's what I've been waiting for. I'll take a 550 please.
As long as you don't want to put anything in the trunk, the 335i should work. Seriously, I was already to plunk down my cash until I saw the trunk. Won't fit a set of golf clubs and that's a deal breaker.

Unfortunately reduced luggage capacity is one of the downsides of a hardtop. I have seen the trunks of both the 3-series and C70; neither are very large. However, I have noticed that Mercedes tends to do a better job than BMW at creating storage space (my W203 has much more storage than my 328i). Hopefully they would design a top that preserves some amount of luggage space. Time will tell...
