I just got me a set of 19" Monoblock VI's from Brabus. I had a set of 18" Monoblock S's...and the difference is NIGHT and DAY. (The last pic is an older pic of my car w/the 18's) 0 sacrifice in ride quality, 0 change in gas mileage (less than 1 mpg if at all), not to mention how good they look! If you're on the fence as to which size to upgrade to, I HIGHLY recommend considering a 19-inch replacement. Just do your homework on the tires you choose, b/c thats where you really see/feel a decline in ride quality and appearance.

ummm...not quite...a buddy of mine who bought a USED set for his SL in 20" paid $6.5k for them,...I imagine brand new a few grand more. I have seen these when they first came out going for close to 10k.

lol...I can't win. You bust my ***** for having replica wheels...but if I said that intially, you or someone else would bust my ***** for not getting the real thing. I'm 25, and I've had this car since September of 2005. I got it new w/21 miles on it. I cut a check for $57k of my own money to pay for the friggin thing. I intended on doing a complete K8 conversion this winter, but I'm gonna pay off my house instead. I appreciate everyone's complements...and I'm TERRIBLY sorry if I offended anyone with my FAKE wheel claims.

What's the deal w/the criticism in these posts? I took my car to Road Atlanta for a track day, and only lost 7 tenths on my hot lap compared to my time when I had the 18's. An '08 GT3, or an '08 F430 comes stock w/19s...so I think the handling/speed sacrifice depends on the weight of the wheels, brand/handling rating of the tires, and the car's suspension setup. But thanks for posting the token "larger wheels" comment. Can't we all just get along???
