I've been going back and forth with the VE guys in setting up a meet and venues.

So far There are a couple of possibilities. I think the emphasis is at the moment is a nice long cruise with some photo ops.

One option is the Lillooet/Duffy lake loop: http://members.shaw.ca/bjs1/duffy_lake_loop.htm

It's a nice scenic drive through the Fraser River Canyon and through the mountains and ocean. There stretchs of twisties and and remote stretches of road. This is a pretty long stretch of road.

Another options I think is an Island run from Vancouver > Horseshoe bay > Ferry ride > Nanaimo > Victoria > Ferry Ride > Tsawassen > Vancouver.

If you guys have any other ideas, now's the time.

Okay since nothing major really came in March, I thought I'd throw this up as a meet idea...

http://www.vancouvereuros.com/phpBB2...pic.php?t=2873

Basically it's a cruise out to Deltaport, Lunch another bit of a cruise and then photo op at Science World.

April 20th (Sunday)

10:00AM (Meet at Fantasy Gardens for a morning drive out to the Delta Ports and back in time for lunch at 11. This will be a quick highway drive that is relatively low in traffic on a sunday morning. There are a few twisties along the entire route. This will be a "spirited" but responsible drive. To maintain order, there will be no passing allowed. Similar idea to a lapping day on a track course, except we will adhere to highway speed limits mostly.)

11:00AM (Lunch at the Flying Beaver. Same as last year the entire patio is booked for us. Sooner to the date I will need people to CONFIRM if they are attending). Prices are fair, food(bar&grill) is good, setting over the water is unbelievable at times on a sunny day.)

2:00PM (Church parking lot near the Taylor Way exit, map coming)
2:30 - 4:30PM (Cruise to Porteau Cove) + A few pics

6:00PM (Dinner if there is enough interest)
8:00PM Join us for pics in the parking lot behind Science World

As a side note, plans are subject to change as always. With meets of this nature you just have to "roll with it" sometimes, if we run into bad traffic or the cruise takes longer than expected, we may have to adjust schedules a little.
