C55 wheels on CLK 500
Does anyone know if the 18 inch wheels on a C55 with 225/40 up front and 255/35 in the rear will fit a 2005 CLK 500? Any rubbing in rear to be expected?
Thanks for your help.

the 08 CLK550 comes standard with those rims... I think they were on the CLK55, the E55, the SL, the S55, CL55, etc. Look in the W209 picture thread on the last pic... you'll see my CLK there and it has those rims.

Clks, Cs and SLKs have the same offsets. The other vehicle offsets are different and use different sizes on the ball seats of the bolts. You would need custom bolts to fit rims from the other classes properly. You can try to use your stock bolts, but with a 2mm gap in the ball seats of the boltsl; well I wouldn't drive with wobbly wheels.
