Here's an embarrassing question....

Since I don't have the manual that came with the car, I have a pretty simple question regarding the temperature controls.

Is there any way to turn the heat up on both the driver and passenger at the same time? Right now I'm turning up/down the driver side heat, then the passenger after...

What is this noob not doing right? Please don't flame me

In a w208 you have to set them individually. I'd assume it would be the same for the w209.

You will have to set them individually.... why are you setting the passenger side? It was designed to be seperate climate zones.... unless you're THAT cold, in that case I would say throw on a sweater....lol...j/k

By the way, let me know if you get that confirmation email from Vancouvereuros or not. I mentioned it to the forum owner.

It's only in the mornings that it bugs me. I've been parking my car outside overnight for the past week. It's pretty cold at 5:45am

Never got the confirmation email, but I'll re-register tomorrow at work.

thx man.

yeah i hate to tell yea, but thats the only way...
but there are hidden easter eggs in your car...one is aprently if your windows are open, and the moonroof tilted, hold the hot and cold buttons down and everything will close; press it again and it will return to original position.

cool I'll try that one out.

I figured out the automatic roll down windows/open sunroof with the key fob by accident, unfortunately I also found out about it on a rainy day lol.

Any other tricks??

Lol.... there's the ECU reset that people always like. It wipes out the memory of the shift point on the car and re-learns your driving patterns if you like the shifting more aggressive. I can't really remember the actual procedures but after you do it, the car reacts a bit more sensitively than before but there are step by step instructions. I think it's turn the key to the on position (not engine just power). Press the gas pedal down until it clicks, hold it for 3 seconds and release gas pedal and turn off car. Once you start the engine, the shift point and throttle response should be reset.

I also believe Konami programmed the window directional buttons with 99 lives if you press up up down down left right left right Left mirror button right mirror button.

Only takes about 3 or 4 seconds. You have to be standing pretty close to the drive side door handle for it to work.

You need to be aiming at the little black square by the door handles or the round black dome on the hood vent. These are IR sensors that does all the remote access. I think you can be a max of 10 feet away when activating the windows.

I have used the trick of pressing the red and blue button at the same time to return it to 72 after I have had it cranked way up or down. Not exactly what you are looking for but its quick tip.

if there is an auto button, use that. That is if you have climate control.
