HELP! clicking noise when start up

when i turned on the car today i heard these clicking loud niose coming from the side. at first i thought it was the gas pedal then i started to touch things and i noticed something was clicking on the side from the inside of the panel or something. it stops after a few clicks when i start driving

provided a picture to show where im talking abt ( not my car by the way just a picture from internet)

Just from looking at the picture there is a pipe that is located near there that runs air to the back of the console for the rear seats. Maybe the plastic pipe is expanding or contracting due to the heat or cold air coming through it.
