here's my two clk's both lowered.(and other cars)

As you can tell all of my cars have been lowered,i would not have it any other way!just change the springs, don't mess with anything else if you want to keep some comfort.I usually use H&R or Eibach.Depending on the Vehicle. On my 55 i went with H&R,and i'm totaly fine with the way it rides.

Mine on OEM Styling 4 2-piece wheels and H&R Sport springs. I retained the stock No.2 rear spring pads.

The thing is I going to be runnin 19x8.5f and 19x9.5r and H&R springs. I wanted to know what # spring pads I should put. I wanted to try and do it right the first time! I love Peppernick's drop but if he has 18's then I would probably need to go bigger than #2 in the back.

I switched to 19"s. Those are the optional 2-piece wheels off the SL55, 19X8.5 fronts (ET 30) and 19X9.5 (ET30 + 10mm spacer) rears.

The W209s don't have spring pads that you can change for different thickness up front. You can only do such at the rear.

3/4 front profile shot.

Nice, So you don't have any spacers in the front right only 10mm in the back?

So when you purchase the spring pads its just one for the rear left and one for the rear right? You don't have to buy 2 and 2 right? (I realize this might be a stupid question but I want to make sure I get the correct amount.)

Thanx but I already bought H&R springs I just wanted to know about the spring pads. I think I'm going to go with #2 pads in the rear. Hopefully its turns out good.

Okay guys im going crazy researching here and keep finding different answers out here. For any experts or people with great knowledge in this field. can someone tell me will my stock shocks blow/or wear pre-maturely anytime after I lower my car with just aftermarket lowering springs?

I really do want to lower my car in order for my new rims to sit nicely with it. However, currently this is my only dilemma.

I know BelaMeca mentioned to not mess around with anything else and just swap the springs but I dont want to sacrifice anything in the future and be in and out of the benz dealership and paying outta my *** for something that could have been prevented. I need help and if someone could straighten some things out for me I would really appreciate it.

I had the same thoughts before I made my decision! At first I just purchased the springs but after a few days of searching I read that the after market springs in the long run mess up the stock shocks and struts. I purchased the Blistein HD package. I have 56k miles and would of had to change them soon anyways.
