Help needed - first MB purchase: pre owned CLK 500
Hi guys
new to the site, MB and dont know too much about them so was looking for a little guidance. Thanks in advance for all the replies!
have found a really nice looking clk 500 with loads of options
T.V ,TIPTRONIC GEARBOX,SAT NAV,TRACKER MONITOR IMMOBILIZER,AMG BODYKIT AND WHEELS.COMMAND CONTROL DISPLAY,GLASS ELECTRIC SUNROOF,LEATHER ANTHRACITE SEATS,SPORTS SUSSPENSION,ELEC FOLDING MIRRORS,INTELLIGENT AIR CONDITIONING,18"AMG ALLOYS,ETC ETC ETC...
its a Sep 2002 model and has 38k miles on the clock. SILVER in colour.
Now it looks great priced at £15k , but i guess what i want to know is
1) pros vs cons of owning 500 vs 320 - is it much more expensive to maintain. Obviously petrol will be, but what about servicing/repairs? My insurance quote is fine, happy with that
2) common problems with clk 500? what are the important things to ask about the car history? Have never bought a used car before...
