CLK 550
2008 CLK 550 question

Me and a buddy of mine have CLK 550's. His is an '07 and mine is an '08 which I just took delivery of March 31. After having my car for three weeks now I had the chance to drive his again and noticed that his engine feels noticeably stronger. His vehicle has a little over 10K miles where mine only has about 400 miles. Will the break in period improve my engine or is there a chance that Mercedes did a more conservative ECU tune on the '08 CLK 550?

I think your break in period will improve your engine...this is just what I think.

2006 CLK350
i think most people usually give their cars about 1500 miles or so before they start to abuse it. In a month or so, you'll feel the monster come alive.

Yeah I have an 08 and the thing is a beast. Just the sound of the throttle is mind blowing... it sounds almost like a Porsche.

09CLK550Cab 61k miles
Break in adds power and smoother power feel.

It may sound like a strange comparison, but I drove a used and a brand new Toyota Avalon. The brand new Avalon seemed like the engine was anemic across the whole range.

Even my CLK500, with 65000 miles. I changed the oil last year, and I noticed a difference then too.
