Headlight swap ?
I have an 04 without the HID lights and I'm curious if I can swap the entire headlight with a newer set?
I bought this after selling my 350Z and can't stand not having the lights

Yes they will work
Might want to purchase a set of EURO Xenons
The front bumper MUST be removed to swap the headlights
also the car MUST be version coded Xenon PRESENT via the SDS aka Star

You can buy a HID kit on eBay to replace the Halogen bulbs with Xeon and HV ballast which must be mounted somewhere near the light assembly.
Go look at the HID thread either on this forum or on the W209 forum.

I am not disagreeing with you but what is the reason they would they be illegal???
The beams can be adjusted against a wall to not blind the on coming drivers, same as the Halogen bulb. The only difference is that they are 5 times brighter and white instead of yellow.
If you are an older driver, you need the white light color and the increased intensity for driving safely at night.
