clk 270cdi lost drive
hi can anyone relate or help to my problem, the car went in to limp home mode and i got it diagnosed as needing a new inlet manifold as the linkage for the air butterflys had become disconnected due to wear and tear. while awaitng the new manifold with the fault code cleared it drove ok again. a couple of days later as i excellerated out of a round about, the car died and lossed power , again emergency light came on. only difference this time was in drive the car will only rev to 1000rpm and wont drive!
The AA mechanic checked the car and cleared a fault code P0730 " incorrect gear ratio " the mechanic thought there could be a fault code in the transmission but he could only clear engine codes. wondered if anyone had any idea if these symptons sound like a fault code issue or is this likely to be a lot more serious?
