From 350 to 550 drop head
so i have a clk 350 coupe now and the lease ends august 1. my friend wants out of his 2008 clk550 drop head fully loaded. xenons navi the works..
i test drove it today and boy am i in love...
id like some input from people who currently have the same setup..should i do it, should i get it?

depends if you like the current body. its great, but its gonna be the old body soon. if he's giving you a decent incentive, i'd say take it because i'm assuming his lease will end within the next 2-3 years? which means you can get a new car by then anyway

Whenever I hear drop head the ONLY thing that comes to mind is RR phantom....
On that note, any bigger engine is far superior to a smaller one.....
so get that car!

I would say definately go for it, my gf just got an 08 clk550 cabrio fully loaded and she is much happier than her test drive in the 350 w/o many options.

Depends on what you want to do with it. The 350 is underpowered in my opinion but it is so nicely balanced I don't care. I haven't driven the bigger car, but I can't see the extra weight helping the handling. The extra power wold be nice for drag racing.
