Does anybody know the safe maximum rotor temp

for a 2007 CLK 350 with the Sports Appearance Package, which has uprated drilled rotors on the front. I managed to get mine too hot. I can measure the temp but that won't do me any good if I don't have some idea what is too hot.

I figured these could handle hard braking. Apparently not. I need to back off but I don't know by how much.
