CLK500 2004 Passenger Seat Not Working!

Hi, the passenger seat on my car is not working anymore. The seat adjustment just don't respond. Also when i try to pull the seat forward the headrest no longer drops, so i cant get the seat fully retracted.

I have checked the fuses! So what else could it be?

My car is still under warranty as its a certifed used, so im not too fussed about this niggle but its just anoying. I have only had the car for a couple months.

Thanks

Try looking right at the front bottom of the seat, and you should see two or three different wire harnesses plugged into the base of the seat. One of your passengers might have inadvertently kicked it with their heel and broken the connector lock mechanism so the wire is hanging disconnected. I did it on my drivers seat and have to manually plug the wire in periodically when it comes out.

turned out that the computer chip under the seat had cracked. Mb tried to say that something must have got jammed under the seat which made it crack. Thats total bs.. they wanted $950 to replace the chip.. after a quick call to a salesman in another mb dealership who i buy my cars from me convinced san francisco mb to stop messing me around and fix it under warranty.

So its fixed now and im very happy, you have to be firm with them otherwise they will walk all over you. Also i kept on losing the memory settings on my seats when i swapped keys. Turns out a near dead battery was the issue.. so they replaced that also for free.
