Hello - I'm a new member to this forum and just traded my 2001 Corvette for a slightly used CLK500.

I love this CLK but wish it had the navigation system (Command ?)

Does anyone know if I can add the factory system myself by ordering parts from Mercedes ? If so, do I need more than just the head unit ?

Appreciate any feedback.

PS - I spoke w/the local Mercedes parts department and all the guy would say is that you have to order Navi from the factory and you can' t add it after the fact. I find it hard to believe that a tech-savvy person couldn't do this with the correct parts in hand and an idea of what to do. Hopefully the service manuals for the CLK500 will be available soon.

 

lots of BS...adding an OEM comand to the W209 is just about as simple as adding one to the W203...
