CLK350 cab newbie
Looking hard at a 2009 CLK350 cab with the AMG Sport pkg (AMG front air dam, sport suspension, AMG sport body styling, paddles, 17" AMG wheels) and had a few questions:
1. I have a 2001 S500 Sport that I will be trading in. Winters here in CT I put the AMG rims and performance tires to sleep and put on 16" rims and Blizzak 225/60 R16 WS-60's and have no problems with the weather. Will the same idea work well for me with the CLK350 (ie, what has been your experience in this car in snow)?
2. According to TireRack, I would need 225/45 R17s for the CLK350; is there any way for me to use my old 16" wheels and snows or do I have to put them on ebay?

Search for my previous posts for details. Winter in the CLK is just fine with winter tires. Remember that most BMWs and Mercs are rear wheel drive. It doesn't matter if it is a CAB or not.
My CLK500 Cab is fine in the winter.
Why do it? Because I'm not so rich as to be able to afford two high quality automobiles for seasonal needs. And I don't want to ride in a crap box for 6 months out of the year - that's why I bought the Merc!
