Why don't you just use epoxy to glue it back?

hmm..nut too expensive since its only the plastic. I would say from £200-£400 in the U.S should b a couple hundred Bucks.

Here is the most extreme plastic adhesive/epoxy I have ever known. In a different league compared with super glue. This should fix your extender nicely. Of course, the hard part for you is to get the extender to stay out while you fix it.

I think you need to be careful with it, as it is reactive, smelly, dangerous, etc. It says "for industrial use only." Don't get it on anything you like because it would react with them and cause problems. The way it works is by reacting/dissolving/melting the plastics (I think) allowing a stronger bond when they are joined.
