clk32 AMG?
well initially i heard it the AMG version would be a supercharged 5.0 presented as the AMG5.0, but now i hear they are going to use the 3.2 supercharged engine thats on the c32 which will put 346hp. is this going to make the clk32amg slower then the c32 because the c32 will weight less or are the going to increase torque in the engine? what do you all think about this? this means that the new AMG will be equal in performance to the current clk55. just thoughts im having.

CLK55, Mini S
Since the word is that MB wants to move the CLK "upscale" a bit, it would seem to me that they would NOT put the sc3.2 V6 in it, but rather the sc5.5 V8.
Although to keep it "mid range," a step up from the C and SLK but not quite top of the line, I don't see why they just don't keep the 5.5AMG in it, maybe tune it up to 400hp and let the E, SL, CL and S AMGs have the Supercharged 5.5.

Yeah, the whole notion of moving the CLK 'upscale' would indicate a more powerful engine than the SC 3.2 v6 for the AMG CLK.
I've been hopeful that it would be the SC 5.5 from the new AMG SL but then that would make the CLK the fastest production benz once again and I don't think SL AMG owners would be too happy about that considering they are paying 40k (?) more for their car.
If they kept the NA 5.5 for the new CLK AMG then I'd still be content. However, it seems that the 'strategy' is to have all of the AMG's with a SC engine.
<pessimistic tone>I'm afraid that we'll end up with the SC 3.2L for the new CLK AMG. They'll justify the whole 'upscale' comment by saying that the CLK is now offered with a 5.0L v8.. </pessimistic tone>
Here's hoping we get a 5.5L SC clk
