Beep on locking ?
#26
My alarm didn't 'beep' before, but it went bad last year, and I got a newest version installed, and 'beep' every time I lock my car. So I think it's the version of the alarm.

Is your car newer then 05. The dealer probably flashed your front sam. Because that controls your a/c compressor. And the new software made it start beeping. If you have an older (03,04) car with an old siren you have to modify the front sam national version codeing to the Netherlands.

System Aquisition Modual. It's the fuse box next to the brake booster under the hood. The fuse box in the trunk is also a sam. The sam is one of the bains of the car. Kind of like the engine control unit tells the engine what to do the sam tells the body what to do. When you turn on your wipers you are not powering the wipers thrue that switch. The switch sends a low voltage signal to the sam and the sam turnes on the wiper. The same also controls the starter, the cooling fan, the head lights, and more. The sam is controlled by software. Newer cars beep. If a car gets new software it will probably start beeping.

A good independent Mercedes shop is capable of anything your dealer is, as they'll have the same computer system and equipment...
