2004 CLK320
Should have read the fine print...

The basic warranty of my 2004 CLK320 is 4 years, 80K KM. I bought the extended warranty with 6 years (160K KM). 2 more years of extensive coverage and the 3rd year major components only.

I did a service at the dealership at 81K KM after 3 years in Nov-2006. I bought in my car this week and I was told the extensive coverage has expired. I was then explained that the clock started to count after the basic coverage warranty expired in Nov-2006.

I thought the extended warranty superseded the basic warranty, so I have 6 years (or 160K KM) of extensive warranty.

I should have read the contract thoroughly a few years ago.
