This is so hard...

How do i change the license plate bulbs? I took out the inner carpet cover as well but cant take out the bulbs...i searched, i searched and i searched again. Found nothing. Can someone help?

I don't have my 2006 Clk here right now but I just look at my Clk 430 and to change the bulb is from the out side not inside of the trunk with only 2 screws.

That's right, from the outside.

Get a flash light and get down on your knees and look up at the clear white plastic lenses - needs a screwdriver.

Be careful when putting back the covers, since they are direction and have a gasket to keep out water.

Also, replace both at once. Once of mine burned out, and the other was silvered on the inside, so it was also nearly burned out.

i knew it was from outside but when i took out the screws from outside the lens didnt wanna come out so i thought it was like the w208 from inside...Do i put in a screw driver and pull the lens or what? thanks a lot guys....
