Hello All!
I have been experiencing a really annoying problem with the Bose stereo in my 03' CLK500. The stereo volume jumps from normal levels instantly to insane ear popping levels almost randomly (most often at start-up). When driving the volume will bounce back and fourth randomly.
It has already been into the dealer and the codes read fine.
When that didn't work it went back and had the head-unit replaced. After this didn't work it had it's codes read yet again.
Oh yeah, and by the way I just got off the phone with the Service Manager and he wants to look at the codes yet again to send to Mercedes Canada.
This is nuts, brand new $85K car (Canadian), had it since November, have hardly used the stereo for fear of inflicting permanent ear damage!
If anyone has had a similiar experience or any advice to offer it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Speed adjusted volume
This was my thought at first as well but...
The speed sensitive volume feature was disabled by the dealer the last time the codes were checked. Did nothing, same problem persists.
