Post Fitting CLK 320 rearview mirror help

Hi there,

I am after some help with fitting my rearview mirror back on.

As a Christmas present i bought my wife one of these for her car http://bluetoothaccessories.co.cc/pr...USB-Port.html#

Its a clip on bluetooth mirror,it fits by clipping on the existing mirror easily

Whilst clipping it on i pulled the mirror off and now can't get it back on.
There is a hole on the mirror which i cant work out whats it for.

Any help appreciated

Alf

Hi welcome to the CLK forum. Go to UserCP ^^^ and complete your location & vehicle details.

Are you talking about the glass, or the complete assembly?

I have not done this job - but according to the WIS, to remove/install Inside Rearview Mirror.

1. Remove overhead contol panel module (interior light cluster) note: detach only coupling from Inside Rearview Mirror Unit (IRMU)
2. Pull down IRMU on one side. note:IRMU is mounted with spring tension.
3. Remove hands-free microphone.
4. Remove IRMU.

How were you able to get the rearview mirror back on? I am not clear on the instructions. Can you give more information? Thanks
