I have recently bought a 2005 CLK 500 and it has the old style center console I know that mid year of 2006 they changed it to the sliding door and you gain a cup holder does anyone know if you can purchase the new top and it replace the old one. I am hopping that they are interchangeable so I can get a cup holder and a better working top as the flip hinge thing is horrible.

i have been looking into doing that as well, i hate having only one cup holder and on passenger side...If you find some info let us know here.
