i'm start getting worry now...
i put down my deposit for my clk500 3 weeks ago, at that time the dealer(flecher jones in socal) told me it's about 2 week waiting period. but as of right now haven't heard anything from the dealer yet, i've been calling them couple times and they didn't even know when the next shipment will come. i'm now afraid that the car i ordered was here already and since they promised me not charging me markup for the car, i think they're trying to sell it to the highest bidder who's willing to pay the markup. any similar experience from anyone?

Sounds kind of strange that you were told that your car would be available in just 2 weeks time. I understand that certain people are waiting months before their car will be here. By the way, were you taking delivery of a CLK500 that was not special ordered?. Was it a car that the dealer had coming in and you happened to want it the way it was equipped?

two weeks?! i don't think so... my dealer told me that i need to wait at least 3 months for the car at the beginning...however...here is my story: i ordered my clk 320 at the end of september and in november the dealer had me put down $3000 for deposit...and after the christmas the dealer told me my clk's built date was 1/20 and i need to wait 30 to 45 days from the built date to get the car here...so if this is true my wait is 6 months...so u'd better check with ur dealer about the waiting time before u make any deposit...good luck.

i already put down the deposit, i just called the sales guy today, he told me that he's sure there's a car on the way for me within couple weeks definitely less than a month. i know it's hard to order the clks but according to that dealership they're the #1 volume dealership in california, they told me that they can process any order twice as fast as other dealerships. so i'm keeping my fingers across now and keep on waiting. and did your dealship gave u the car's vin number once the car is on the way?
and btw, i went test drove the m3 today, awlsome handling and acceleration, if my clk take too long to get here, i might decide to go with the m3 convertable, there are a ton of them on the lot.

Ordered my car Aug 26 went into production Nov. 3 and thats when I got my vin number, the car arrived at the dealership Dec. 4 did not get the car until dec 12 and i love the car.
2003 clk 320
They did not give me a production date when I ordered. They said it would be about three months. My salesperson that I had would not give me dates on the prduction or the arrival of the car not unless she was sure about her dates.

the waiting list at HOI is more like 7-8 months. I'm sure FJ is about the same. You just got BSed by the sales at FJ...
for 208 even at the end of production it's waiting list was still around 6 months before they start to take order for the 209.
