SRS faults! OMGWTFBBQ.
Anyways today i got the infamous SRS light on the dash... it happened upon getting the STAR hooked up...and now it cant be cleared...
I searched the forums and google only to find not much info other than go to the dealer.
I checked all the yellow plugs under the front seats and checked the plug on the back of the center dash...everything seems well clipped in...
I heard of the clock spring under the steering wheel column maybe broken, but i dont know what it looks like or what is does....can someone give me some insight?
Is there anything else that i may have forgotten to check?...I really dont feel like paying 2000+ to get it resolved at the stealership right now....

Is the seat moved all the way to the rear? I had that same problem after my stereo was installed, the installer had zip-tied the wires and then adjusted the seat to the rearward most position { pulling the wires under the seat kind of tight }. Not stretching or really pulling on the wires but it was enough to cause the SRS to trigger over and over again. Adjusting the seat forward a touch fixed the problem.

Got the SRS light also. Dealer charged me $1400 to swap it out saying that it was a faulty Airbag ECU. I heard you can also try reseting the ECU (not too sure how to do this) & the problem will go away if you are lucky. Best of luck!

I have had it happen three times and each time the dealer fixed it under warranty. One of the times I drove the car for quite a while with the light on until I took it in for service --that may not have been a good idea if I ran into anything.
I asked the dealer and he said it was the wiring in the dash.
