Voice control module

I am having trouble understanding this...

There is a person on benzworld selling a voice control module for a D2B system and says that it will work in my 03 clk 100%. He also says that it will plug in my trunk, the wires that it will plug into are already there.

Now my question is i know this voice control module is suppose to control radio, cassette, phone and nav etc. But what i dont understand is that why would it plug in the trunk? What buttons are used to say the voice commands?

Am i missing something or am i not understanding this voice control module properly?

Nothing MB related (sorry)
Linguatronic will let you change from radio to CD changer, or change radio stations. You can call a phone number by 'commanding' your car to dial it for you. But you will NOT be able to enter a navigation destination - you still need to enter your destination by pushing the buttons.

Besides the VR module (and bracket and fiber), you will get the stalk near the st.wheel that is needed to control linguatronic.

A VR kit for the 209 consists out of a VR module, bracket (to hold the module), some fiber (to connect the module to the fiber ring) and the stalk.

Yes, that's voice control. It isn't as sophisticated as today's voice control modules, but it's decent. Mainly, it's good for dialing the phone (assuming you have the cell phone interface).

Well, i hope that at least it has the phone pre-wiring. I've saved my old nokia 6030i from an older w211 thinking of getting an aftermarket bt module if the car has the phone pre-wired.

So you say it's not as sophisticated, what specifically do you mean? I've driven a 2006 BMW e60 525d with voice control and it was really good, you can change radio stations, songs, torn bt on/off and all kinds of stuff with it...

It can control the phone interface and radio (though I don't believe it does anything with the OEM iPod interface or Sirius radio). It doesn't control navigation (other than to switch to the map screen). This is compared to newer systems that can handle commands like, "Navigate to 123 Longview Lane," or, "Text john smith...I will be ten minutes late."

I have an older version of linguatronic in my 209.
Are there newer versions that can control navigation from other models (164,171,203,211, etc) that are interchangeable with the 209?
