2002 Lincoln LS V8 Sport
CLK Radio

I think that the audio quality is passible, but the speed adjusted volume drives me crazy. Does anyone else 1) have the same concerns 2) know how to disable it? My Lincoln LS had this feature but you could adjust the amount of volume decrease you wanted (down to none). The CLK audio seems to have very discrete speeds at which the volume drops. I do not have COMMAND. Thanks

CLK radio woes

The CLK radio has two systems that %#$@$^& with the volume. One is speed dependent and one is "noise" dependent. One is defeatable by you dealer, the other is not. I guess the engineers at MBZ (Chrysler) feel we are unable to master the volume control our selves.

Why is it that my C5 Corvette had a speed control (analog dial) you can set yourself?

Back to the future.
