Fluid Leak

Need some help guys... I stored my car for the winter, I am getting ready to take it out and I found some red fluid under the car.

Since it was red it leads me to believe its transmission fluid not just motor oil. However I spoke to local MB service tech, he told me that our transmission fluid isnt red. He said all recent MB, mine included has hydraulic fluid which is clear and def not red. Is that correct??? I think he is full of ****??

What do you guys think. I hope I don't have a big transmission leak problem.

Thanks for the help.

To quote the tech... all of the fluids in the newer MB's is a "hydraulic" fluid that is clear as opposed to any dark color.

I am not auto expert so I dont really know, but it seems odd and I have never heard this before.

Just wondering if anyone out there has had experience with their CLK leaking any other fluid besides oil... maybe they could lend some advice.

Its def a dark red color though.
