Exclamation ESP Question...Please help; your opinion will help me make my final decision.

I am looking at the 2009 CLK350 coupe, I know that it is a rear wheel drive vehicle but it does come with the "Electronic Stability Program (ESP)". How well do you think this system would hold up in snowy and icy conditions in NYC?

Please help; your opinion will help me make my final decision.

not much, because my car skids like anything in the snow even with the esp on. But then again i have a 500 so maybe a 350 is not as aggressive? i am in nyc too.

I live in Detroit and I drive bigger and more powerful cars. The snow can damage the mufflers sometimes.

With the right winter tires, the 350 is quite acceptable in the snow. With performance tires, it is nearly undrivable.

So as long as I don't have performance tires, I should be OK?

No..... As long as you invest in a proper set of winter tires, you should be OK.......
