to lower or not to lower

i am confused. I have a black 03 clk500 w209. I just got 19'' brabus VI monoblock replicas installed. i have about a 4 finger fender gap in the front which i absolutley hate. I bought new H&R springs for the car to lower it, but im debating if its worth it. I live in Chicago and the streets are pretty bad here, and im worried i might have crappy ride quality after the drop, maybe after the drop ill be more likely to bend the wheels.. i dont want to dish out more money for new shocks... should i install the H&R springs and leave stock shocks or return the springs and leave it stock? thanksf or ur advice guys.

I drive the racism out of BadDebt. ;)
stock shocks and being lowered on hr springs...ride is similar to stock...its really up to the size of tires that affect your ride quality...

that said, you will barely notice a thing, aside from a reduced 4finger gap to maybe a 2.25 finger gap.

im riding on springs/stock shocks until i get enough time to install some coilovers....that i already know is a rough ride.
