it jus sounds like a lot, it probably take 20-30 mins, the hardest thing probably is getting the y pipe on the air intake cleaners

nope, have not got a ECU tune as of yet. i'll get some pics later, i have class in a hour. i got mine from klinh here on this thread. I installed it. it was about $ 350. I think Klinh said he retrofitted some of it. but it was really tight to get on. i ended up using a torch and VERY VERY VERY carefull heating the rubber flex hose from the airbox to the y-pipe to Bend mold it into proper shape.

You don't need to "torch"

Yes, they are different in everyway excepted the mounting point and airfilter are the same. Because of the mounting point are the same, it so easy just to transfer the whole E55 Kompressor airbox over. The only thing that need modified is the y-pipe. The y-pipe is about 1mm too big so is fit very loose onto the MAF. Most people fixed these problems by drilled hole, put silicon and scured it with screw. I have a much simple solution to solve these problems. I took me about 30 second to modify the y-pipe so that it would fit tight onto the Maf. It so tight that you wouldn't be able to pull the y-pipe out if you pull it straight up. I did this mods before then sold the kit to CLKMASTER but then I realized that I lost a little bit top end power without the kit. So now I want it back !! I only bought the kit because it got the front AMG engine cover and the price was fair.

I just installed a mim intake (Made It Myself) I used piping from autozone and a K & N cone. I bought a 3" connector from Home Depot cut in half and I have intake for under 100 with a fantastic V8 growl. No power gains on the butt dyno but It sounds fantastic. Im giving it a few more miles before the computer learns it all and takes advantage of it. BTW Zeek how do you like our Chicago weather?

You can get the twine cone for the V8 on Ebay. Based on the pics, I'm sure it sounded cool but all it does is sucking in hot air !! Hope your is routed somewhere below the bumper.

Not finished yet, I plan on getting more piping and stretching to my fog light, also I plan on heat wrapping the piping. Its not the prettiest system but its form over function.
