Does CLK 550 have Charcoal Filters?

Do i was reading some people remove Charcoal filters, i was wondering if clk550 has them?

It should, yes. Under the hood. It's in the cover over the battery.

No...no...no.....He meant the charcoal filter inside the air filter housing like on all the 6.3 AMG engine. The 550 engine has a difference air filter housing. You should remove the air filter housing and find out yourself. There's HP to be release if the filter is removed.

*shrug* whatever you say dude. I'm a tech and have done services on a plethora of Mercs with the 550 engine including CLK and have yet to see a charcoal filter in the airbox of any of them. But to the original poster - if you find one in there please post it!

Like I said, there's is one for all 6.3 AMG engine under/inside the air filter housing. some people got really good throttle responses when they removed the filter. I'm not saying that the 550 engine has it like in the 6.3 AMG engine but asked him to check his air box housing. Click on the link to learn more about it...

if you are a tech than you should know that the filter you were talking about was a cabin air filter under the battery cover

eh no luck for me there is no charcoal filter, all isaw was the aluminum mesh thats over the MAF censor i left it alone.
