Talking Hi, A BMW owner working on making the switch... HELP

Hi my name is Eddie, just wanted to say hi, I've finished working on my BMW and am looking at the new CLK for a new show car. I am looking at a 320 or 500 and just wanted to ask for some opinions of those who have gotten the 320 and felt that the car were underpowered, or how happy some of you 500 owners are. I was also wondering what kind of markup is associated with the new CLKs, if any. I've also been looking at C32s, as the power and the whole car seems like a great package, any CLK owners here have to decide between the two and have any input to offer? heh heh, its been a while since I've posted a "first post" on a car board.

I am the admin at e46.dtmpower.net and a member of tUNINGwERKS Competition, don't know if there will be any familiar faces around here.

Got a few more mods for the E46 for a couple final shows then it's off to parting it out.

I'm looking at a white CLK, anyone have some nice pics of their white clk?

Thanks and I look forward to having fun here.

Here are some pics, sorry

Welcome Ed!!

I think you will find a number of BMW owners on this site. I heard of tuningwerks before, its the crew with that blue X5 with 22" HRE's right? Anyways so far i think only one member on this board has posted pics of his white CLK320, https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ighlight=white

A CLK would be a great showcar, I would go with the CLK over the C32. Good luck.

Thumbs up

I bought my wife a CLK500 and it is a nice handling car but if you are more performance oriented you should go with the C32. It should cost less and is considerably quicker. Probably easier to come by also as I have seen one on my local dealers lot for a while.

Talking Thanks for the welcome

Tezta - yeah that's the crew. I am thinking the CLK would be a more profound styling design to build up.

James - I definitely agree, I don't know, speed will be hard to part with, realistically if I got the CLK it would probably a 320 and run as a showcar, to save money for mods. But the C32 is just so potent power wise. Sigh. I'm worried that the 320 will be way too slow. My friend has a c320 and that thing is a slug, no offense.

tyzik - these are Hamann Design PG3s 19x8.5 19x10. Dronell has been out of business for months now.

Thanks guys, anymore insight between the 320 and 500 would be most appreciated.
