SRS LIGHT
Last week before our week trip from Texas to Calif. My wife reported that a SRS light was on. Of course I searched the threads, read the manual, for a cause. None seemed to fit so I prepared for a stop on the way at a stealer.
Using my key (because it had my seat settings) the SRS warning light never appeared.
Total miles traveled was close to 1800 miles. When she went to work with her key the light went off. Tonight I drove up to get gas for her and no light with my key.
Anyone have thoughts or cause? I already told her to use my key. She doesn't want to have to change seat positions.
Give me some other ideas.
Maybe battery, empty passenger seat, one tire low. Some thing,
any thing except check computer

perform a teach in of all seat positions using the faulty key. the advanced airbags need all info from your seat position. from fore and aft to tilt and headrest adjustment in order to properly deploy the airbag. make sure you do it meticulously though cuz if you miss on spot it may not work.

Our keys, remember the last position used. So when you use your key the seats, mirrors and steering wheel return to the last postion used. So we have his and her keys. It is someplace in the manual.
