Exclamation New Tires? Regret? Good Idea? HELP

Hey everyone,

A couple of months ago I had to purchase (2) new rear tires for my '07 CLK 350 because during it's 2 year inspection Mercedes told me it would not pass inspection. Jump to today.... my front passenger tire was worn because apparently I had driven it with low air pressure for sometime, so I decided to go ahead and purchase (2) new front tires. I'm not sure if I made the right decision, want your opinion.

The (2) new front tires are Yokohama's S-drive tires and the back tires are Yokohamas as well. Should I have stuck with the OEM tires? I kept reading that the tire tread was wearing out quick on the OEMs, hence by back tire issue.

Any advice???

of course the dealer wants you to buy through them, so they can bend you over and let you hear the cash register as they're ramming in your...

i'll end it there.

OEM tires are good but not great; you might as well try out other tires.

Ideally, you should have the same tires on all 4 corners of your car, same make and model.

If you have to mix them, make sure you have the same tires on the same axle. Furthermore, all four tires should have the same speed rating.
