Ambient Temp Indicator.... high outside temps showing
i replaced my spark plugs and valve cover gaskets 5 days ago and had no problems after that until yesterday. i was driving and switched the view on my cluster to show the temp and was surprised to see it at 165 degrees. i opened my hood and saw that one of the intake tubes was a little loose from checking my filter earlier but after putting it together again the temp seemed to fluctuate from 140 to 155. it has been hot here lately (it read 90 degrees today at 4am) but i know that has nothing to do with it because this just started happening yesterday. anybody ever had this problem before?
i'm thinking my ambient temperature indicator might be bad. my passenger side fog light was recently broken on my way home from work one day by a rock i'm guessing and i removed the grill and left the ambient sensor out. maybe the wiring somehow messed up?
