CLK 55 AMG
AMG vs H&R springs

i have an 03 55 AMG, i was looking at the h&r springs cuz i feel like the car looks high.. am i downgrading by putting h&r springs in place of my current ones?

you will feel an improvement with handling switching to the h&r sport, that being said the 55 comes with bilstein hd dampers.. so you should get a really good result!
i wish i had a 55

thanks for the reply! im gonna get them after the winter season..

do you think 20s will be too big if i get the H&R springs? i dont want the wheelwell to cover the wheel ( i hate that look ). i also want to get spacers and make the tires sit real wide.. is this possible? or will it just F things up? thanks im a noob

NO dont do the 20 ...get the 19 it will looks good with that size on the CLK W209.

I just put H&Rs on my 550. Makes a world of difference with the handling, IMO. The car is lower by about 1" and 1.25" (front/back). The lowered stance looks great and I can still get in and out of my driveway......
