Side Marker

I'm thinking about changing the stock side marker... does anyone recommend anything? Does clear side marker look good on a black CLK?

or maybe smoked? if it's smoked, i think i rather tint the side marker than replacing it.

i smoked mine out myself last night, i did a very very dark smoke on it so its black now, looks like body color but still shines light through. i did a lighter smoke on my rear tails.

They look best painted. Just buy matched paint and clear coat online, then buff out yourself.

i smoked mine out using "smoke" paint from a hobbie store, the brand is testor. if you ask them for smoke or tint spray they will know what you need, its mainly used for model cars but i have been using it for years on a number of different cars and it has always turned out great.
I used tint for the front markers and smoke for my rear tails

i think clear looks the best. Smoking side marker doesn't really suit me unless i'm smoking the head lights/fog lights as well

You say u used smoke for your tails. Do you mean the spray? If so how did you manage just spraying the white of the light? Do you have close up pics of the tails to see exactly how they came out?

My car is steel grey. I used the smoke side marker with amber bulb. It looks great.

Yes, I do have OEM side markers, but the right side one is chipped.
