Service A and B

Hey guys. I was just wondering if you even go back to the dealership to do services or do you just do them yourself? i heard all A and B are .....are just oil change and air filter changes? nothing to major right? oh and oil topping off.

does anyone have complete the list of what they do for service a and b? do you think its worth going to dealership for? or better just done by yourself? i have 2400 miles left on my computer but i went up and down to LA twice this month so im just due for an oil change. but its close to service B so i dont kno what to do. what do you guys recommend?

I drive the racism out of BadDebt. ;)
This is my breakdown of a Service B...
Oil change/Filter
Door jam check
Check tires
shocks
springs
control arms / thrustarm bushings ( front upper and lowers)
tierod end checks
check all fluids (brake / antifreeze)
Check charcoal filters
Check pollen and air filters
Check Battery charge level
Check lights
Check brake pads/rotors
Check MAF for cleaning
Check Sparkplug wires
Replace Sparkplugs wires and plugs if needed
Check wheel bearings
------------------------------

I do most at home, and only go to the shop to clear codes with STAR diagnostics..

Here is what I do.
Does not matter what service is up I do

Oil
Fleece oil fiter
check the cabin filter (usually every other service i change it)
take out the air filter (K&N), clean and charge every service
top off washer fuild
check for leaks around radiator
and reset my transmission shift point, it makes it feel like a new car for me for a day until it gets used to my granny driving lol..

Other then that all the "checks" that the dealer does should be standard to the car guys, you should look at all those things on a usual basis anyways.
