Instrument Cluster on 06 CLK 500
So on my 2006 CLK 500 it had white gauges. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it. Now I have solid black gauges. They are going to order the correct one now. My question is, what model gets the black gauges?

Here is the picture. The Top (white one) is the one that I had in my car. The bottom one (black one) is the one the dealership installed.
I talked to the dealership again and I guess the black one is from non amg cars and the white one is the amg gauges.
Needless to say I am not happy with the dealership at the moment. They are ordering another new one and hopefully this one is correct.

true amg sport package from 06 and up had the white face. 05 and below with amg or without amg sport package came all black. 05 and below only has white faces on the real 55AMG and 06 and up any 500/550 with sport package or true AMG car.
im drunk. but thats accurate.

I'd rather have the white gauge! Way sportier.
Some dude was selling an AMG cluster in the classifieds before... I don't really think it's worth the cost or effort though.

for those with the black ones, and want to change it to the white face, i think they have that silver bezel on ebay. i kno its not "true" and i might get flamed for this. but i mean its a cheaper solution than buying an amg cluster. i was considering doing that later on for a project.

It's said that a used cluster can not be reprogrammed with your miles. I assume everything can be done for a price. You might be better off finding one used and just switching the gauges.

I didn't realize that I didn't post a part number previously but here you go. I just had to have it replaced again this last week. This time they made sure they put the right one in
You can buy one and take it to an independant shop that has the right tools and they can program it for you. Like one poster said, This is rather expensive for just changing from black to white gauges but it does look a TON better.
It did contain some changes though with my replacement. The option to change the steering wheel controls for the radio. It use to just go through the preset stations.. but I now have the option to go by frequency also. (not a big deal)... and when I am running low on fuel and I go to check the range, it now displays the fuel hose connected to the car like all the 2011 MB cars have instead of displaying the miles left. I did lose the sunroof open alert if I turn my car off and open the door with the sunroof open. It use to let me know that my sunroof was open, now it does not.. the dealer told me that it was removed from new clusters.
Ok here ya go... part # with MSRP / Core / Actual Price directly from dealer.
2095403848 --- $1,340.00 / $0.00 / $1,072.00

That isn't for the MB gauges, it's for knock offs. If you scroll down, you will see the actual pics of the product. Your best bet is to try eBay.de. I found a bunhc of them on there. That's where I bought my BS gauges.
