Transmission Service HELP!
Does anyone know at what mileage I need to change my transmission fluid on the 2005 CLK500?
The dealer charges $200, you guys think it's a decent price? Or any recommendation on shops in VA area?
Thank you

I believe its every 50.000 miles.
And that's cheap. My dealers charges 320.00
Some say you don't even need to change it but i am not sure if that's true or not!

damn man $320?! Mine only charges $200. I also have heard 50,000 miles, but I saw somewhere on the forums that said it does not need to be changed at all. I drive the car from 30k to 63k, I don't notice any changes yet. Actually I think I saw the 50k change from dealer's ads. I don't know what to do at this point. But $200 to buy a sense of security I guess is worth it. I'm so confused. LOL

Yah i know its too pricey.
I am starting to believe that w.e adds insurance to our cars its worth doing it.
I am having a problem with my signal turns (made a thread about it) and have no idea what to.
Not even the dealer can tell me what is wrong.
I mean WTF?

The car takes like 12 quarts of synthetic transmission fluid at $15/each, then there's labor on top of this.
My dealer says every 39K miles, and they charge $325. Spend the money - this German tranny is many thousands of dollars, and with all that torque... don't tell me you don't stress the drive train just a little bit.
