Tire size question
Not sure this was discussed here yet, but I need advice.
Btw I did search for it 1st )
Currently running OEM staggered 18" set up.
Iam thinking of getting AMG 63 Replica 5 star 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 wheels.
I got two option:
Move the rear tires to the front and get wider & matching Continentals (285/30/18) for the back.
Or
Buy a set all 4 new tires.
285/30/18 Continentals at TireRack is about $288
PS. Would 255s fit the front and 285s fit the rear on clk 550?

Used to have 255/40R17 on the fronts on my 04CLK500Cab with the factory rear 8.5" wheels. They fit, BUT when making really wide turns (I assume at parking lot speeds), the tires rubbed a small hole in inner wheel well.
