I don't have M function in my car, only S and C...
I heard that I need to add 428 code but I don't know how tricky (and expensive) it is. I dropped an email with quesion to my friend at MB dealership.

If you are passing from comand ntg 2 to comand ntg 2.5 without harman/kardon system you have just to switch the comand units without changes the cables.
You have to buy the bluetooth antenna.
If you are passing from audio20 to comand ntg2.5 so you need the cable in the link.

For the M function you are right. You have to insert the 428 code in mercedes FDOK and than activate with star diagnosis in your car.
