Various 209 Questions : Please read ALL

Hi,

I'm Based in the UK

I have just bought a MB CLK 280 Sport 2007 Cabriolet

It has an Ipod connection,

I have connected my Ipod, and on the menu on the dash (using the steering wheel) I have gone to Ipod, and I can see the track thats playing, I can move back and forth between tracks ie forward to next track or back (one gives me begining of track) twice takjes me to previous track

How do I select albums as at the moment it just goes through all the tracks on the ipod (possibly but not sure) in alphabetical order i think!

so if i want a song begining with say S then i have to go through about 700 tracks to get to what i want, then if i want a track begioning with say C i have to go back about 500 tracks etc

there has to be an easier way!

Please help

also does anyone have or pleae would somebody scan in the manual for the ipod dockl and sentit to me please? (email is the_photographer@hotmail.co.uk)

also

I want Bi Xenons where can I get these and get them fitted and how much would it cost?

wheres the cheapest place to get the latest command NAV DVD?

If I buy an ipod touch is there a way of getting the videos on it top play via the command screen?

on the command system there an ooption or TV or video or something? what can i get for this and how much and rwhere can I buy it from

does anybody in the UK do the boot lid up and down option (fitting etc)

does anybody in the UK do the TV or DVD player Options?, does anyone in the UK do the Convertible roof up and down option from the remote?

how much would it cost and is it worth it (and of course who do i gotto to get it fitted etc) the linguatronic option?

does anyone for that AMG light thing in the Uk to the door sill?

Any other options please send them

Please see my email address above

BTW I am Based in Hemel Hempstead in Herts UK (Not too far from London)

Too many questions for one time but here you go.

1) Sort by artist, then track that should knock off about 90% of your scrolling....other than that I have had mine for about a year and I dont know of a better way

2)Bi Xenons should run about $200-$250 each I think Atleast thats how much they were for my wifes ML

3)I would just keep the current DVD,, Cant see spending 200-500 for a disc that is only about 10% more acurate than the one I already have

4)No, video wont show, you will need to update the whole system....Pioneer makes some great touch screen nav-ipod-bluetooth systems. I just bought one for about $2k

5)nav-tv has some good Tv options....but as for DVD just run it off the Ipod (if you upgrade the system)

6) Um whats Linguatronic?

7) dont buy Amg lights if you dont have an AMG...that just makes you a poser. Just get the MB ones

2) Great, thank you! where can I buy them & have them fitted?

3) OK! :-)

4) Shame

5) How much and where can I get it?

2) You'd be very lucky to find Bi-Xenons for that cheap... If you did, they'd probably have missing tabs, messed up ballast or something else wrong with them. You can expect to find some deals for $800-900 if you're lucky... Otherwise, you can expect to pay $1500. There is this revolutionary website http://www.ebay.com where you can search for any item in the world, Bi-Xenons included. You can also look in the classifieds area of this site... They'll occassionally come up. Last resort, you can goto the dealership.

1, 3-5) Might as well get an aftermarket unit... Much better iPod user interface, updated navi (free updates usually), DVD in motion, and some of the newer ones say they'll be tv tuner ready (Kenwood DNX9140 and newer)... They have bluetooth and the whole enchilada. If you want more functionality, go aftermarket.

7) Kit or no kit... if you don't have an AMG engine, you don't rock AMG badges... or illuminated door sills

I bought 1 OEM xenon headlight for $170 shipped. I'm in the market for the other side. However, the sad part is that right now, the ones they have on ebay is only the driver side which i already have, I need the passenger side. There are a few of them, however, for pretty decent price. You should check them out. Just search for clk xenon, and you will see.
Switching the headlights isn't an easy job after reading the DIY. Better look for a pro to help you man.
