Spark plug question...
Hey guys.
I'll be looking to change my spark plugs soon.
I can get a set of plugs that MB would use during a service, but I was wondering if I should be going for some uprated plugs.
Are there plugs that are better than others?
I know that you can get platinum tipped plugs, but I'm not too sure if they make that much difference.
Can anyone shed some light?
Cheers guys.

i changed my plugs @ about 105k miles with Bosch platinum IR plugs.[had my mechanic buddy get them and install] i didn't notice any improvement in performance or fuel economy with these. P.S. my old plugs by the way where in great shape even @ 105k. i was surprised. Good luck.

Are you sure you need to change your plugs? 07 CLK is unlikely to have 160k KM or 100k miles on it. If you do, you will want to get platinum or platinum + iridium (IR) plugs for sure, these are OEM and the reason they last 100k miles. Get Bosch, Autolite or any other well known manufacturer. I personally prefer single electrode plugs, but you may want to go 2 or 4 electrode ones as well (no real performance / fuel efficiency difference) but cost more. Remember you need 2 plugs per cylinder = 16 total, cost may become a factor :-).

Hey guys.
Thanks for your replies!
I've decided to go for the ones that Mercedes/ AMG would supply.
They are specific to the M156 engine, so I reckon they're the best bet.
Mileage?
LOL.
Yeah, you're right.
I actually only have around 9,000 miles on it.
I bought the car in May last year and I want to re-new as much as I can.
I just like knowing that everything's been seen to.
Gonna get the transmission fluid changed too, when the weather cheers up.
Cheers guys.
