I have an 05 CLK 320 which I purchased used 2 years ago with about 42,000 miles. Now at 54K miles it's past the man. warranty; luckily, I pruchased the ESC. Now they say the power steering pump needs to be replaced as well as the reservoir... Pump is covered by ESC but reservoir is not? What gives? Is it worth complaining to the MB Corporate...Has anyone tried this?

Why has the pump failed or why do they fail?? I am told by the dealer that it happens over time??? There are also no recalls.
