My New CLK 320 are coming soon, and I talked to the dealer about upgrade the original rim ( 5 spoke style , Canada version..so urgly and conservative which is the only one choice in Toronto Canada). they said that they buy back 4 rims for $800 CND and if I upgrade to the classic European style ( 5 spoke but more racing style) , I need to pay $ 865 more to trade off the origianal rims. Both rims are 16 " but I can use the tire back on the upgrade rims.. my question is ..... is that a fair deal ?????

No, it is not a fair deal AT ALL. Buy back your original stock wheels for $800 and pay another $865, that is an absolute rip off.
If both are just ordinary MB wheels and both are 16", you should ask them to swap it for you for free. I am very sure they can do something about it. Why bother trading a set of 16" for another set of 16" only because of the minor cosmetic difference?

If I were you....I will either trade in your stock wheels for some 17" or 18" AMG OR keep the stock wheels and buy some aftermarket 18s" later.

 

yeah it does sound like a rip off... the rims prolly costed them a 500.. they buy back for 800... n sell u another 16 set for 800+.....what a scheme!!

 

No way, tell them to shove it, wait a few months and buy a set off of someone for $865 and keep your originals.

 

Get some new rims not factory ones.
